Examination Scheme, Progress Report and Promotion Criteria

CLASS NURSERY AND K.G.
A series of four tests in all subjects is conducted during the academic year.
Test Note Books are sent for parent’s initials on the Third day after each test. These must be returned the next day.
Final (Fourth) test series is held in March.
Marks of all the test series are consolidated so as to prepare the annual report for promotion to next class.
Progress Report of each student is prepared after each test series and parents are requested to come along with their ward to sign the Report Card in school on Result Day.

Classes – I to IV
Scholastic:
1. Two Test Series of 20 marks in each subject are held in the month of May / September / October.

2. Three Evaluation Exams in each subject having 40 marks shall be held in August, December & March. 
Co-Scholastic:
Art & Craft, Dance, Singing, Music, Health & Hygiene, Practical, Discipline, Attendance, Behaviour, Project, are graded on A to E grade.
Pass Criteria: Minimum 40% in each subject is a must in each terminal exam for promotion to next

Class. Classes – V to X 

Scholastic:
1. It has Three Terminal Exams - Each subject having 80 marks conducted in September, December and March.
2. Two Periodic Tests: Carrying 5 marks shall be conducted in May and February.
3. Remaining 10 marks will be of the internal assessment i.e. 5 marks for Notebook submission keeping in view Regulartiy, Punctuality, Neatness & Notebook upkeep etc & 5 marks for Subject Enrichment Activities like Practicals, Projects Map work, Speaking & Listening Skills. Computer subject shall have 40 marks theory & 60 marks for Practical.
4. Computer Subject shall have 40 marks for Theory and 60 marks for Practical. 

Co-Scholastic Assessment:

Co-curricular Activities based on Discipline, Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviour, Values, Health & Physical Education, Art & work Education shall be graded on A to E grades. Pass Criteria: Minimum 40% in each subject is a must in each terminal exam for promotion to next class.

CLASS XI and XII
 
Two Unit- Test Series and three terminal exams are held during the year for class XI and one unit test, two terminals and a Pre-Board exam for class XII.

First Unit Test - Test Series is held in July for classes XI and XII.

First Terminal Examination is held during the last week of August and Second Terminal Examination in December.
Second Unit Test - Test Series for class XI and Pre-Board Exam for XII are held in January. Final Examination for class XI is held in Mid February. Performance of the complete year is consolidated and final result is prepared.
75% ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY FOR APPEARING IN EXAMINATIONS (Internal & Board both).
Classes XI and XII (Science Stream only) have five days a week for studies. 

NOTE:
No request for conduct of exam on prior/later date is entertained.
- Rupees 500/- shall be charged in case a Duplicate Report Card is to be issued.
- PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE REQUESTED TO SEE THE ANSWER SHEETS OF 1ST AND 2ND TERM EXAM AND SIGN THE REPORT CARD AT SCHOOL ON RESULT DAY AS INTIMATED THROUGH THE DATE SHEET. 






Admission Eligibility:
Prospectus is made available on 1st January.
Students seeking admission to Nursery must be between 3 to 4 years of age on 1st April of the year during which admission is sought.
Parents are advised to fill in the enclosed application form carefully and correctly taking particular care in entering the date of birth, child's name, father & mother's name.

A written test on basic knowledge and interaction with the student and parents is organised for new admission to the classes as per the availability of seats.
